Faith Statement

At Apostolic Ministers Alliance, we believe in the one true living God, revealed as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. We emphasize faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for salvation, the importance of repentance and baptism, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Our beliefs center on living a life of holiness, following the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Apostles, and spreading the Gospel worldwide. Each church within our AMA fellowship operates independently under the leadership of its Pastor or Pastors. Read our full Faith Statement below.

We believe there is one true living God, manifested as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. He is revealed as the Father in creation; the Son in redemption and the Holy Ghost in regeneration. The One God, Lord Jehovah, of the Old Testament became evident Himself in flesh as Jesus Christ of the New Testament. God is a continuing emanation who has always been and always will be eternal.

We believe that man was made in the image of God’s likeness and is the very crown of all God’s creation. Because of Adams’s sin against God in Genesis mankind became spiritually alienated from God. Mankind possessed no ability to attain God’s righteousness except through faith in the saving shed blood of Jesus Christ, God our Savior. The miraculous virgin birth of Jesus who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, became the perfect Lamb for our atonement of sins. Jesus’ death on the cross was the reconciliation of God and humankind through Jesus Christ for the sins of all mankind, his burial, and bodily resurrection were for our justification. He now reigns in glory until all things be put under His feet. “All power in heaven and earth was given to Him.”

We proclaim salvation truth as the followers in the Early Church did, by the knowledge from the holy and inspired written scriptures in the New Testament. We believe in justification by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary. We believe Jesus Christ as our Savior, calling on the name of the Lord, confessing the Lord Jesus, believing God miraculously raised Him from the dead. We believe genuine repentance will cause a changed mind and lifestyle within individuals that is pleasing to God. Luke 24:47 “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”

We believe in The Great Commission: Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-20 “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This fulfillment was accomplished and began on the day of Pentecost when Peter spoke in Acts 2:37-39 “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men, and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

We believe in water baptism by immersion: Acts 19:3-5. “And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

We believe in the Holy Spirit infilling, and speaking with other tongues, as the Spirit enables, as an endowment of power from on high, to be witnesses of Jesus Christ to the far-reaching parts of God’s world. Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” The Holy Spirit is our comforter and guide and teaches us as we walk in our new life in Christ.

Our firm beliefs we hold as truth, but with loving and non-judgmental fruit of the Spirit, we respectfully consider what other experiences various followers of Jesus Christ have attained along their walk with God.

In all the supernatural gifts of the Spirit actively functioning, as the Lord wills for edification in our churches today. We believe that the development of these gifts ought to be encouraged under the guidance of each local Church authority. Ephesians 4:11-13 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:” We believe: In Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers as functional within churches. *Prophets should always go through a Pastor and seek his approval, before giving his word to a local individual church member.

We believe in giving on our financial income: We wholeheartedly believe Christians should support ministers, missionaries, and ministries with our appreciation, prayers, respect, tithes, and offerings. Our willingness to give faithfully helps the endeavors we possess to spread the Gospel to our cities and throughout the world.

In true holiness: True holiness THE NEW LIFE, read: Ephesians 4:23-32 & chapter 5 Righteous by our actions and attitudes and separating ourselves from evil.

A holy man will follow after charity and brotherly kindness. He will endeavor to observe God’s Word- by doing as he would have men do to him, and speaking as he would have men speak to him. He will abhor all lying, slandering, backbiting, cheating, dishonesty, and unfair dealing. Holy men and women will follow after a spirit of mercy and benevolence towards others. They will not stand all day idle. They will not be content with doing harm, but wholeheartedly attempt to do good. Such was Dorcas, “full of good works and alms deeds, which she did,” not merely purposed and talked about, but was in direct action of the needs. (Acts 9:36) Be filled with the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26). Obeying the commandments of Jesus Christ and His Apostles to love, forgive, and care for one another. We believe sin separates mankind from the eternal Kingdom: Galatians 5:19-21 I Corinthians 6:9-11 Revelation 21:7-8 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.” We believe in confessing our sins to Almighty God: We are imperfect even as Christians and we seek the Lord daily and can amazingly obtain forgiveness from God. Likewise, we extend God’s great grace and mercy toward others who are in need of any restoration.

We believe in the blessed sanctity of marriage and family: That husbands love their wives as Christ loves His Church. Our children should be taught to obey their parents, as parents nurture their children, in the Lord. Proverbs 1:7-8. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:”
We believe in ‘The Lords Supper’ / “Communion”: By this, we continue to remember Christ’s death, his broken body and shed blood: *We have taken communion together as a united body of Christ at our summer family camp. I Corinthians 11:24 & 26 “…and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”

We believe: In the return of Jesus Christ at the end of this Grace Age, when the dead and living in Christ will rise to live forever, to be with our eternal God. Jesus Christ will rule for a thousand years of peace upon the earth. (Revelation 20:5-6) In God’s final judgment, all people shall receive their just reward. The faithful will be blessed by the triumph of God’s righteousness, and genuine redeemed believers will all inherit eternal life. Our AMA is a fellowship only. Our AMA fellowshipping Churches are sovereign and autonomous. Each Pastor or Pastor is the overseer of their own church constituencies.
